Mediation
The aim of science communication is to make science accessible and understandable by and for everyone.
The objective:
By creating a link between scientists and the general public, our goal is to raise awareness about the cause of rays and sharks.
Through presentations, exhibitions, and audiovisual materials, we reach out to different audiences in order to convey the results of scientific studies in a clear and educational manner.
'Je t’étudi’RAIE'
The exhibition
The exhibition Je t’étudi’RAIE (“I’ll study you, ray”) offers a variety of visual and audio media that immerse visitors in the scientific and associative world of rays and sharks.
The aim was to present various research and study projects on elasmobranchs carried out at the Montpellier Faculty of Science campus. It showcased the various approaches used to study these sensitive species and inspired students to get involved in this cause.
The exhibition took place from 15 January to 9 February 2024 at the Triolet Campus, in the University Library of the Faculty of Sciences in Montpellier.

Our street interviews
By approaching passers-by in the streets of Montpellier, we sought to capture their spontaneous reactions to these animals.
This was an opportunity to pinpoint the reputation and lack of knowledge of these species among the general public. It provided valuable insight into the challenges of conservation in people’s mindsets.
